Former President Donald Trump urged his supporters to rally strongly during the Republican primary elections in South Carolina, scheduled for Saturday, hoping to crush his rival Nikki Haley in the state she once governed. Trump told his supporters at a campaign rally in the southeastern state: "You will participate in one of the most important elections of your lives."
Only two major candidates remain in the Republican primary, which will determine the party's nominee for the upcoming presidential election in November. Trump is the frontrunner against Haley, the former governor of South Carolina.
Haley, who is in her fifties, is urging conservatives to choose a "new generation of conservative leaders" instead of "four more years of Trump chaos." However, she has lost to Trump in the primaries so far in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. Haley hopes to perform better on Saturday in South Carolina than the polls predict, which place her about 30 points behind her competitor.
Referring to Nikki Haley, Trump said: "She’s going to have a really bad day because she’s not a good person," anticipating a "massive victory" in South Carolina. The former president added to his supporters: "We will win this state, and then we will tell Joe Biden he's fired."
