FC Barcelona announced that their Brazilian international winger Raphinha has suffered a muscle injury ahead of the Clasico against rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercup final. The Catalan club stated in a post on its X account on Friday: "Medical tests conducted today have shown that Raphinha has a left hamstring injury. His absence will depend on the pace of his recovery from the injury."
Raphinha sustained the injury at the end of the first half during the semifinal match of the Spanish Supercup against Osasuna on Thursday, which ended with a 2-0 victory for Barcelona. The Brazilian winger was substituted in the 42nd minute for Lamine Yamal.
Raphinha's injury comes just before Barcelona's match against Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercup final, scheduled for this Sunday at Al Nassr's "King Fahd International Stadium" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Barcelona will also be missing four other players due to various injuries in addition to Raphinha: Marc-André ter Stegen, Joao Cancelo, Marcos Alonso, and Gavi.
