Israeli army forces conducted a raid and search campaign last night and early Thursday in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem, which included clashes and the arrest of several Palestinians. The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that Israeli forces arrested a number of Palestinians in the West Bank, transferring them for investigation by security agencies on charges of participating in popular resistance activities against settlers and Israeli forces.
The incursions were concentrated in the provinces of Jenin, Bethlehem, Ramallah, and Jerusalem, involving the storming and searching of dozens of homes and subjecting their occupants to field interrogations after detaining them for hours. Large Israeli army forces stormed the Jenin refugee camp, where armed clashes occurred between a group of young men and Israeli forces that entered the camp to carry out arrests. Reports indicated varying injuries among Palestinians, with one described as serious.
Israeli forces arrested a high school student after raiding his home in the town of Tamoun, south of Tubas, as well as two other young men after raiding their homes in the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem. Additionally, the Israeli army stormed the Al-Am'ari camp in Ramallah and al-Bireh, arresting Major Salah Barghouthi, a member of military intelligence and a freed prisoner.
Clashes occurred in the towns of Silwan, Sur Baher, Al-Tur, Al-Eisawiya, and Shufat refugee camp, where two young men were injured by gunfire, and another was arrested during clashes that broke out in Silwan. The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the "martyrdom of a citizen," who arrived at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in critical condition due to injuries from live ammunition to the chest. It was reported that there were five injuries, including a serious one to the chest and thigh.
Later, the Palestinian Minister of Health reported the fall of "at least 3 martyrs due to the occupation's aggression on the Jenin camp," indicating that "this is not the final count."
