Iran Proposes Plan for Withdrawal of Turkish Forces from Syria

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian revealed that Iran has proposed a plan to Syria and Turkey regarding the withdrawal of Turkish forces from Syrian territory. He stated, "We proposed that Turkey first commit to withdrawing its military forces from Syrian territory, and second, that Syria commit to deploying its forces along the border to prevent any threats to Turkish territory." He added, "We also suggested to Damascus and Ankara that Iran and Russia be guarantors of this agreement."
