Wedding Turns into Funeral in Egypt: Bride's Car Plunges into Canal

Sorrow has descended upon the Beheira Governorate in Egypt after a wedding turned into a funeral, resulting in the death of the bride's friend when the wedding car plunged into a canal. The bride is currently in critical condition.

The security authorities in the Beheira Police Directorate received a notification from the Rashid Police Station regarding a car falling into the Rashidia Canal near the village of Dibi. The incident resulted in the death of "Noorhan," 25, the bride's friend, while the groom "Ahmed" and the bride "Shaima" were injured, with the bride suffering serious injuries that necessitated her transfer to a private hospital after locals successfully rescued her from the canal.

Additionally, the driver was involved. The three injured individuals were transported to a private hospital in Rashid, and the car was retrieved, with a report prepared about the incident, according to local media.

In detail, after the bride exited a beauty salon in the city of Kafr El-Sheikh, she was accompanied by her friend "Noorhan" and her groom from the village of Dibi. During the wedding procession in a private vehicle en route to Dibi, where the groom's house is located, the car overturned into a canal located at the entrance of the village.

Locals managed to rescue the three—bride, groom, and friend—yet the bride's friend was in critical condition and was rushed to a private hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries due to drowning asphyxia. The bride sustained serious injuries and was taken to a private hospital, where her condition is currently critical, while the groom is reported to be stable. Thus, the wedding celebration transformed into a funeral.
