China Ready to Strengthen Cooperation with Islamic States

Chinese President Xi Jinping affirmed that his country is ready to enhance cooperation with Islamic countries. In a speech at the 15th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Xi stated, "China is prepared to continue cooperation with Islamic countries to maintain traditional friendship, enhance mutual political trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and expand trade exchanges." The Chinese president pointed out that China and Islamic countries have supported each other in recent years on issues affecting core interests and mutual concerns. He noted that both parties have achieved fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation, improved friendly relations, and created a model for cooperation.
