Jordanian cybersecurity expert Raed Smour announced that American businessman Elon Musk's visit to Israel earlier this week "was not ordinary, and its timing raises many questions," considering it to hold "hidden motives" according to his assessment.
Smour explained in a video posted on his personal Facebook page that Musk is "referred to as the commander-in-chief in Ukraine... and at one point, he made the decision not to activate the Starlink stations near the border with Russia, preventing Ukrainian drones from entering deep into Russia and attacking." Elon Musk owns the Starlink company, which provides satellite internet services, having satellites and equipment that enable it to offer connectivity worldwide.
The Jordanian expert noted that in July 2023, Starlink signed a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense, which included the purchase of 500 Starlink units, allowing the Pentagon the freedom to deploy these units, which were placed along the Ukraine-Russia border "and then sensitive areas inside Russia and Crimea were targeted."
Smour emphasized that given the above, "Elon Musk came to Israel to help its government overcome the intelligence failure that occurred since the onset of the Al-Aqsa Flood," in his opinion. He pointed out that Israel "needs to rebuild its intelligence efforts... and Israeli military leaders have admitted their failure in this aspect, stating they are unable to gather information from inside Gaza, resulting in significant losses for the occupying army."
Smour stated, "There is a military failure on the part of the occupation, primarily caused by intelligence blindness... Musk came to Israel to open the skies via Starlink to assist the occupation in gathering information and operating drones through satellite internet, preparing for the post-truce phase." He considered that "Starlink is currently an integral part of the battle over Gaza... and this will elevate the battle to a new phase that everyone must be aware of."
