Diriyah Cup: Al Nassr Aims to Break Al Hilal's Winning Streak

The semi-finals of the Diriyah Cup for the Saudi Super Cup 2024 will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from April 8 to 11. The Al Ittihad team will face Al Wahda at Al Nahyan Stadium, followed by a match between Al Hilal and Al Nassr at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. The four teams have completed their preparations for these encounters.

This current edition of the Saudi Super Cup is the fourth to be held outside the Kingdom, having previously taken place in London, UK. The fourth edition, now referred to as the Diriyah Cup, will be the first to be held in an Arab country.

The inaugural Saudi Super Cup was held in 2013, where Al Fateh, the Saudi league champion, faced Al Ittihad, the King’s Cup champion. Al Fateh won the first official edition with a score of 3-2. In 2014, Al Nassr, the league champion, faced Al Shabab, the King’s Cup champion, and secured their first title after winning 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.

The SSC channels and the "Shahid" platform will broadcast the tournament to their viewers in the Middle East and North Africa, featuring four Saudi teams: Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, and Al Wahda.
