Turkish intelligence units managed to neutralize Barzan Hassan Zada, responsible for youth affairs in the PKK organization in Iran, during an operation in northern Iraq, according to claims by Anadolu Agency. Anadolu, citing Turkish sources, reported that the Turkish intelligence agency (MIT) tracked Hassan Zada, known as "Tulehildan Qandil," in the rural area of Qandil in northern Iraq. It noted that the agency became aware of communications between Hassan Zada and PKK leaders Cemil Bayık and Duran Kalkan. Units affiliated with Turkish intelligence successfully neutralized him in an operation in the Qandil area. According to Anadolu, Hassan Zada joined the organization in 2016 and was in charge of recruiting new members.
