Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta mentioned today, Tuesday, before the match against Luton Town, that his team is full of energy and excited for every game in their pursuit of winning the Premier League title as they get closer to competing for it. Arsenal relinquished the top spot in the Premier League to Liverpool after drawing 0-0 with their rival Manchester City, but they can return to the summit by winning against relegation-threatened Luton tomorrow, Wednesday.
Arteta said in a press conference today: "We are on the right track as a club. What the women's team did on Sunday makes us very proud and is also very important," referring to Arsenal women’s team victory over Chelsea to secure the League Cup title last Sunday. The Spanish coach added: "There are many good things happening, but we have to aim for much more than that… this is where we want to be. Now we want to seize this opportunity and achieve it."
The London club will face a busy schedule when they visit Brighton & Hove Albion next Saturday, followed by a Champions League quarter-final match against Bayern Munich three days later. Arsenal, currently in second place, faces a tough path in their attempt to win the league title for the first time since 2004, with upcoming matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Manchester United, but the Spanish coach is optimistic.
