The Japanese Foreign Ministry stated today, Tuesday, that "Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman promised stable oil supplies to Japan during a video conference with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida." The statement mentioned that "Prince Mohammed told Kishida that Saudi Arabia remains committed to stable crude oil supplies to Japan and that the Kingdom wishes to cooperate with Japan in other areas, including clean energy."
The statement noted that Kishida told Prince Mohammed that he expects the Kingdom to continue to take a leading role in achieving stability in the global oil market, including through increasing production. Kishida also expressed his desire to work with the Kingdom to establish a global supply chain for clean energy such as hydrogen and ammonia.
