He noted that "Trump's success will complicate subsequent investigations regarding his handling of the classified documents," revealing that "FBI agents and the prosecutor's office disputed how to conduct a criminal investigation into Trump's handling of the classified documents, including whether to conduct a surprise search of his residence in Florida."

He added, "Former Attorney General William Barr, special counsel John Durham, and others succeeded in intimidating the FBI's willingness to investigate anything related to Trump," arguing that the FBI was afraid to pursue the facts due to concerns of political backlash, which led to delays in the investigation for months.
