The head of the Jordanian Writers Association, Akram Al-Zoubi, mourned the association member, novelist Abdel-Nasser Rizk, following a severe heart drop and kidney failure. Al-Zoubi stated that the Jordanian and Arab cultural arenas have lost with the passing of novelist Rizk one of the most prominent contributors to the literary scene, considering that the cultural legacy he left behind embodies a form of creativity that deserves to be highlighted. He added that the pain of loss intensifies when we lose a creator who succeeded in uplifting thought and literature. The late novelist was born in Amman in 1961 and held a degree in philosophy and psychology from the Arab University of Beirut. Since his childhood, he had been interested in reading philosophy, psychology, and novels, dreaming of writing a novel that would allow him to express his perspective on his social reality and the reality of the nation until he ventured into the experience when he produced his first novel at the age of forty. The late writer served as the general director of the newspaper "Al-Wehdat" from 2004 to 2007, and he was the head of the story and novel committee in the Jordanian Writers Association from 2004 to 2006. Among his literary works are "Ghosts of the Horses" (2002), "Eid al-Adha Night" (2004), "The Devil's Lifter" (2014), and "Paranoia" (2016), while his last novel, "Heritage of Blood," was published in 2017.
