French Foreign Ministry Refuses to Condemn Ukrainian Strikes on Belgorod

The French Foreign Ministry refused to condemn the Ukrainian missile attacks on the Russian city of Belgorod, which resulted in the death of 25 people, describing them as "legitimate defense." During the daily press conference of the ministry, journalists asked for clarification on Paris's stance regarding the missile strikes carried out by Ukrainian forces using banned cluster munitions. However, the French Foreign Ministry ignored the question, only stating that Ukraine is "exercising its legitimate right to defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter." The Russian Defense Ministry announced last Saturday that "Kyiv forces carried out a random attack on the Russian city of Belgorod with missiles and cluster bombs."
