Statement from the Ministry of Education Regarding the Integration of Syrian Students with Lebanese Students

The media office of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued the following statement: "Following the statement released by the media office concerning the cooperation between the Ministry and the organization (hardwired), in which the media office confirmed that the project has nothing to do with the integration of Syrians with Lebanese students, it was emphasized that the concept of integration was used to mean the integration of Lebanese students, regardless of their differences in educational needs or cultural traditions. The ministry has received a series of unsigned statements as part of an organized campaign accusing the ministry team of spreading false news and baseless accusations related to the project, starting from the integration of Syrians to normalization. The ministry reserves the right to take legal action against anyone who targets it with unfounded allegations."

The media office condemned "the campaigns that directly target the Director of Guidance and Supervision and indirectly the General Director of Education, who work professionally with the entire ministry team and make every effort to ensure that project details align with the ministry's vision, and reject anything that violates Lebanese laws based on the minister's directives."

Furthermore, the statement noted: "Since the organization (hardwired) submitted a letter to the ministry requesting the suspension of its project to avoid harming the teachers with whom it collaborates after clarifying that its aim is far removed from all that has been rumored, the ministry has canceled all meetings related to this project. While the Ministry of Education works daily to ensure quality education for Lebanese students, it faces daily campaigns of defamation and unfounded accusations." The statement called on everyone to "refrain from fabricated news and to unite to save the academic year."
