Officials reported that the Kremenchuk oil refinery in central Ukraine was attacked overnight by Russian drones, resulting in a fire. Meanwhile, debris from the downed drones caused damage to railway power lines in a neighboring area. Philip Bronin, the head of the military administration in the Poltava region, stated that Russia has targeted the oil refinery in Ukraine multiple times during the war. Kyiv claims that the refinery was not operational and that the fire was quickly extinguished. The air force reported that air defenses shot down 18 out of 20 drones and missiles launched by Russia overnight before they reached their targets in an attack aimed at striking military and critical infrastructure. Yuri Ihnat, a spokesperson for the air force, told national television: "The Poltava region was the focus of the attack as it was hit in several waves." Governor Andriy Raikovych noted that railway power lines were damaged due to debris falling in the Kirovohrad region of central Ukraine, but the damage was quickly repaired. The Ukrainian military announced that Russia carried out another missile attack on the Poltava region and the Odessa region in southern Ukraine on Wednesday morning, but no immediate reports emerged regarding the targets. Reuters could not independently verify the reports. Russia has not commented yet.
