A delegation from the Executive Committee of the Southern Football Union, led by Mr. Ibrahim Dabbouq, visited Mr. Hashim Haydar, the President of the Lebanese Football Federation, at his office in Beirut - Bir Hassan. The delegation included Dr. Tammam Hijazi, Vice President of the Southern Union, General Secretary Mr. Hussein Dilati, and members Mr. Nazem Ayoub, Mr. Hussein Tarad, and Mr. Amer Al-Safadi.
Dabbouq, on behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire Southern football community, delivered a brief speech congratulating the federation president on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He then discussed the security and economic conditions that have accompanied the start of the current football season and their repercussions on Southern clubs. The new sub-union, in collaboration with its clubs, took a bold decision to overcome the various hardships currently afflicting the South, striving to revitalize football fields by launching official tournaments and ensuring high and precise organizational standards, as well as equality, competitiveness, and sportsmanship.
In turn, the President of the Lebanese Football Federation expressed his gratitude to his guests for their visit, conveying much optimism regarding the promising path of the new Southern Union, particularly the various bold and sound steps and decisions made this season by the Southern Executive Committee. He affirmed his commitment to the union and his continuous readiness, in his capacity as president of the federation, to support and enhance the Southern Football Union and its clubs.
