Updates in Ain Al-Hilweh with the Popular Front Delegation

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mazhar, indicated after his meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, in Ain al-Tineh, that they discussed the current developments and the situation in Ain al-Hilweh camp. He also expressed high gratitude for President Berri's efforts to thwart conspiracies and prevent Palestinian bloodshed.

Mazhar stated, "There is a significant conspiracy and a large plan that targets the Palestinian presence in these camps, the refugee issue, and aims to eliminate the cause of refugees. It also targets Lebanese stability, the Lebanese people, and the Lebanese presence." He emphasized that extensive discussions were held with President Berri to work together in order to thwart this conspiracy, prevent Palestinian bloodshed, and contain all attempts that aim to ignite conflicts in the camp, as this poses a significant danger to the Palestinian presence. Given that Ain al-Hilweh is the largest camp and the capital of diaspora, he stressed the importance of coordinating and communicating with the president to contain this strife and counter the plans targeting the Palestinian presence, the camps, the refugee cause, and the Lebanese people.

He concluded, "Certainly, through these efforts and continuous work, along with President Berri's valuable efforts, we will succeed in thwarting this plan and conspiracy that targets both Palestinians and Lebanese."

The meeting was attended by members of the Political Bureau, Kayed al-Ghol, Omar Murad, and the head of the front in Lebanon, Marwan Abdel Al, along with the person in charge of the Palestinian file in the Amal Movement, Muhammad Al-Jabawi. The council president also received the Governor of Wayne County in the state of Michigan, Warren Evans, and his deputy (an American of Lebanese descent from the city of Bint Jbeil), Assad Tarfeh, in the presence of the publisher of Sada al-Watan, Osama Sabsalani. President Berri discussed general conditions and political and economic updates during his meeting with former MP Yassin Jaber.
