Netanyahu: The Rafah Airstrike Was Tragically Mistaken and We Will Investigate It

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated today, Monday, that an airstrike that resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians in Rafah was not intended to cause civilian casualties, and that it would be investigated. Speaking in a Knesset address interrupted by jeers from opposition lawmakers, he said, "In Rafah, we have already evacuated about a million non-combatant residents, and despite our utmost efforts to avoid harming non-combatants, unfortunately, something tragically went wrong." He added, "We are investigating the incident and will reach conclusions, as this is our policy."
