The spokesperson for United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the decisions of the International Court of Justice are "binding," and the Secretary-General expects the concerned parties to comply "in accordance with the rules," following the court's order for Israel to halt its military attack in Rafah. Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric informed reporters that Guterres "took note" of the International Court of Justice's decisions regarding stopping the Israeli attack in Rafah, allowing humanitarian aid, and releasing hostages, and he "reminds that the decisions (of the court) are binding under its charter and statute, and he is fully confident that the parties will comply with the court's orders accordingly."
