Milan has turned its attention to a new coach to succeed Stefano Pioli as head coach for the next season. Several reports have suggested that Milan's management has decided to dismiss Pioli as soon as the current season ends. According to the Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Milan officials have been in contact over the past few weeks with Lionel Scaloni, the coach of the Argentina national team, regarding Pioli's replacement. Scaloni successfully led Argentina to victory in the Copa America, as well as the World Cup. The Italian newspaper indicated that communication has only occurred through Scaloni's agents, and there have been no direct conversations with the coach yet. It was clarified that Scaloni is open to coaching Milan next summer, after completing his duties with Argentina in the Copa America, which concludes on July 14.
