The Emirates News Agency reported on Sunday that "UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed U.S. President Joe Biden's proposals regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip." The leaders affirmed their "support for all initiatives and serious efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation in the region and protecting all civilian lives, as well as ending their suffering in the area."
