Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated today, Saturday, that Tehran will not produce nuclear weapons as it contradicts the country’s nuclear doctrine. During a speech at the opening of the "Expo" exhibition in the capital Tehran, Raisi said, "In our nuclear doctrine, there is absolutely no place for the production of nuclear weapons, and our use of nuclear technology is peaceful." He added that "economic sanctions are an injustice against all nations and a form of warfare."
He explained, "In the war of wills, the Iranian people have overcome the sanctions, as acknowledged by the spokesperson of the American White House, who confirmed the failure of sanctions on Iran." Raisi continued, "This exhibition shows that Iran is not subject to sanctions, and the sanctions on this country have never succeeded against the iron will of the people of this system, and they will never succeed again," emphasizing that "the malicious plans to isolate Iran have not succeeded and will never succeed."
Raisi pointed out that "this exhibition demonstrates that the youth of Iran have turned threats and sanctions into opportunities, and this significant economic event shows that we have succeeded and can succeed again." Amid the ongoing mutual threats between Tehran and Tel Aviv, and the direct shelling between the two countries, Brigadier General Ahmad Khatul, head of the Iranian Nuclear Centers Protection and Security Organization, stated last Thursday that they are "ready to deal with any threat" from Israel, asserting that "the nuclear facilities in the country are secure."
Khatul warned that a potential Israeli attack on nuclear facilities could change Iran's nuclear policies and doctrine. He indicated that if Israel "wants to use the threat of attacking our nuclear facilities as a pressure tool on Iran, it may be possible and conceivable to review the nuclear doctrine and policies of the Islamic Republic."
