Iran: The US and Israel Failed to Achieve Their Plans During Gaza War

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, confirmed on Monday that the United States and Israel failed to achieve their objectives during the war on Gaza. In his weekly press conference regarding the Palestinian issue, Kanani stated, "Unfortunately, America has been part of the problem over the past few decades. In the recent war on Gaza and the aggression waged by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza, unfortunately, America was actually part of this war."

He continued, "This war would not have happened without the US government. America has fully supported the Zionist entity in all areas and has prevented an end to the war. It is not expected that America will be part of the solution. America's assistance can be represented by stopping its support for the entity."

He pointed out that all evidence indicates that Israel seeks to take risks, adding, "Based on our observations with various parties, America wants to achieve what it could not achieve through political means. In other words, it aims to realize the objectives that were not accomplished during the unjust war through the political process."

He emphasized that "the Palestinian people will not allow any party to achieve illicit interests. The fate of Palestine will be determined by the Palestinian people. It is the Palestinian people who have the right to determine their destiny. The unjust American actions will not aid in resolving the crisis without acknowledging the reality. The incident we witnessed was the result of a lack of understanding of reality."

Kanani mentioned that ongoing discussions with regional parties aim to continue the ceasefire, stating, "This matter was also discussed during the foreign minister's visit to Qatar. The ongoing negotiations aim to make the temporary ceasefire permanent."

Regarding the presence of US warships in the region, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, "The US government has never played a security role concerning regional issues and has always contributed to creating instability in the region. We evaluate this within the context of continued American support for the Zionist entity."
