Iran's military showcased its forces today, Wednesday, in the capital Tehran and all provinces in celebration of Army Day, which the country observes on April 18 each year. The Tasnim news agency reported that "the main parade for Army Day took place in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi at the 'Shahid Faizollah Amani' training and support center for ground forces in Luayzan, Tehran, simultaneously with all provincial centers."
During this ceremony, which was attended by senior military commanders, various airborne and infantry units from the ground, air, naval forces, and air defense were displayed.
In his speech on this occasion, President Raisi stated that the Iranian armed forces ensure the country's security, and that the recent military operation against Israel "overthrew the power of the Zionist entity," adding that Iran's response was calculated and precise. He emphasized that "our military forces are one of the significant capabilities not only in the region but globally, and regional countries can rely on our military capabilities."
The celebrations come on the heels of Iran's response to the Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
