"Moments of Al-Ula" has launched the second edition of the Ancient Kingdoms Festival, which celebrates the authenticity of history in Al-Ula, with a range of the most amazing activities and experiences from November 16 to December 2. The festival includes several unique events designed to transport visitors on journeys to explore the rich heritage of the ancient oasis cities, where visitors can enjoy interactive experiences to learn about the ancient destinations, discover the civilizations that ruled Al-Ula in the past, and witness the towering archaeological sites that have stood on its land for thousands of years.

The festival promises its visitors an exceptional program that varies between cultural celebrations, evening tours, and historical activities dedicated to families, as well as food experiences inspired by ancient tales and tailored trips to historical archaeological sites. The festival kicks off with a time-travel march that showcases the historical stories and rich heritage of the ancient incense road and the life of the ancient kingdoms in Al-Ula. The lively interactive show creatively highlights the shared human history throughout time as preserved in this region.

The festival uniquely features the evening of Jebel Ikmah, which celebrates the inclusion of Mount Ikmah in the UNESCO "Memory of the World" register with an exceptional experience that combines the depth of history and generous Arab hospitality. This experience includes the participation of visitors in stone carving skills, a guided tour by a specialized tour guide to explore its timeless historical inscriptions, and a stunning light show over the majestic Ikmah Mountains.

The evening of Al-Hijr presents an immersive experience drawn from the history of the region, taking visitors on a journey to the most important burial sites, alongside the Life in Al-Hijr exhibition displaying 15 archaeological discoveries in the area, and a life in the wild and natural tour in Al-Hijr. This year's edition of the festival marks the 15th anniversary of Al-Hijr’s inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.

The Ancient Kingdoms Festival 2023 also highlights the Al-Qassim Province, providing an opportunity to explore the archaeological treasures and natural wonders there, through distinctive events such as the Al-Qassim Camp, which introduces visitors to the details of ancient life along with traditional foods and beverages, in addition to artistic and heritage performances suitable for the entire family. Additionally, the "Voices of the Oasis" event offers a unique auditory experience combining the sounds of traditional musical instruments and the charm of breathtaking nature.
