The Asian Beach Volleyball Championship for Youth starts on Thursday, featuring the Lebanese national team composed of Omar Abi Karam and Hadi Shbib, which has become the sole representative of West Asia following the withdrawal of the Saudi and Omani teams. To further prepare, the Lebanese team conducted two training sessions on Wednesday, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. National coach William Asmar and the players attended the general technical meeting, where the organizing committee outlined the technical conditions for the matches.
The tournament draw was held, dividing the participating teams into eight groups, placing the Lebanese team in Group Six, which includes Japan's first team and Thailand's third team. The initial round will follow a single round-robin format, and the Lebanese team must win at least one match to advance to the Round of 16, which will be held in a single-elimination format.
The Lebanese team's matches on Thursday, Beirut time, are scheduled as follows: at 4:30 AM against the third team from Thailand and at 10:00 AM against Japan's first team.
