Iranian state television reported today, Sunday, that former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has registered his candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections following the death of President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash last month. The Guardian Council is set to publish the list of qualified candidates for the competition on June 11 after conducting a vetting process.
