Deir el-Ahmar for Illegally Staying Displaced People: Dismantle the Tents and Leave (Video)

Young people from the town of Deir el-Ahmar gathered today, Sunday, in front of Saint Joseph Church following the decision of the Union of Municipalities in the area to evacuate the tents of the displaced people, in response to a call from the local notables committee in Deir el-Ahmar. Several vehicles and bulldozers arrived at the locations of the displaced people's tents in Deir el-Ahmar, preparing to demolish them. The police from Deir el-Ahmar municipality, assisted by elements from the Army Intelligence and a committee of local notables, informed a number of Syrian displaced individuals who entered Lebanon illegally about the necessity to dismantle their tents and leave the plain surrounding the town. The Deir el-Ahmar municipality had begun implementing the decision to expel the illegal Syrian displaced individuals from the plain of the area after the deadline set by the Union of Municipalities of Deir el-Ahmar had expired.
