The Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of Hamas leader Mahmoud Qawasmi from Shifa Hospital in Gaza, where the Israeli operation is still ongoing, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens so far. Qawasmi is the perpetrator of the kidnapping of three Jewish teenagers in the West Bank in 2014. He was deported to the Gaza Strip as part of the "Shalit deal." After that, he "took part in directing Hamas activities in the West Bank, including several shooting attacks carried out in recent years," according to a statement from the Shin Bet.
