House Speaker Nabih Berri has called for a general session at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, to discuss two proposed urgent laws listed on the agenda:
1. A repeated urgent law proposal aimed at extending the terms of the existing municipal and elective councils until May 31, 2025, presented by Deputy Jihad Al-Samad.
2. A repeated urgent law proposal aimed at determining the applicable law for volunteers confirmed in the Civil Defense according to the provisions of Law No. 289 of 2014 and Law No. 59 of 2017, presented by Deputies Jihad Al-Samad, Ali Hassan Khalil, Ibrahim Kanaan, Amin Sherri, Tony Frangieh, and Hassan Mourad.
