Barcelona Player Rejects Saudi League Move

A player linked with a contract to FC Barcelona has rejected a move to the Saudi league next summer. Spanish reports previously stated that Barcelona is trying to market Clément Lenglet, the team's defender currently on loan at Aston Villa, to Saudi league clubs. According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Aston Villa is largely satisfied with Lenglet, as he has shown high professionalism, commitment, and significant effort during his loan period. The newspaper indicated that Aston Villa is considering renewing Lenglet's loan, but the issue is that the club cannot bear his full salary. It clarified that Lenglet is aware of the strong interest in acquiring him from Saudi league teams but believes that at 28 years old, he is still capable of playing at the highest level in Europe. It was mentioned that Lenglet has lost some of his brilliance under coach Unai Emery, but his overall performance has been satisfactory for Aston Villa's management and coaching staff.
