Brazil Summons Its Ambassador to Israel

A diplomatic source indicated today, Wednesday, that "Brazilian authorities summoned their ambassador to Israel." Earlier, Celso Amorim, the special advisor to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, announced that Ambassador Frederico Meyer would not return to Tel Aviv. The Brazilian newspaper "Folha de S. Paulo" reported that Lula da Silva called the country's ambassador to Tel Aviv for consultations after the Israeli Foreign Minister announced.
