The official Saudi news agency quoted the royal court on Sunday stating that King Salman (88 years old) would be treated with antibiotics until the inflammation subsides after undergoing medical examinations at the royal clinics in Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah due to a fever and joint pain. The state television mentioned that the Crown Prince "reassured everyone about the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, expressing his appreciation... and praying to Almighty God to grant the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques a speedy recovery and bestow upon him health and wellness." Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi stated that due to King Salman's health issue, Crown Prince Mohammed postponed a visit to Japan that was scheduled to begin yesterday, Monday.
