The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that there have been no new food poisoning cases reported in the last five days of the recent outbreak. It clarified that a total of 75 cases have been recorded, including 69 citizens and 6 residents. Of these, 50 individuals have been confirmed to have "botulism" food poisoning, with 43 cases recovering and discharged from the hospital safely. Currently, 11 patients are hospitalized in wards, 20 are receiving care in intensive care, and there has been one death.
The ministry stated that all these cases are linked to a single source of food poisoning, and emphasized that the collaborative efforts of the relevant government agencies have been effective in controlling the outbreak, thanks to divine assistance. They continue to monitor and provide healthcare to the hospitalized cases, wishing them a swift recovery. The Ministry of Health urged the public to obtain guidance and information from official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors and false information.
