Lebanese Army: Exercises and Ammunition Explosions in Several Areas

The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Orientation Directorate: "On August 16, 2023, between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM, non-governmental organizations working in the field of mine clearance will conduct explosions of unexploded ammunition around the following southern towns: Aita al-Jabal, Tal Ermaz, Aytit, and Yaroun. Additionally, a military unit will carry out training exercises in the Rteibia - Laklouk area on August 16, 2023, starting from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, which will include live-fire shooting." The statement added: "A military unit will also conduct training exercises in the Akkoura area from August 8, 2023, to August 17, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, which will include live firing with heavy and medium weapons."
