Launch of the Casablanca Arab Film Festival Next Week

The Casablanca Arab Film Festival has announced the program for its fourth edition, which includes 22 films in the short narrative and documentary competition, and 13 films in the feature film competition. The festival, organized by the Extension Association for Culture and Development in Morocco, will kick off on June 16 and run until June 23. The feature film competition includes the Moroccan films "Frozen Water Oasis" by director Mohamed Raouf Sabahi and "Queens" by director Yasmin Benkirane, alongside films from Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine. The jury for the feature film competition is chaired by Tunisian director Ridha Behi, with members including Emirati director Najoom Al Ghanem, Moroccan actor Malek Akhmiss, Syrian actor Shirwan Haji, and Egyptian actress Yousra El Lozy. The short film competition, featuring films from around ten countries, is chaired by Saudi director Hana Al Amar, with members including Egyptian actor Ahmed Wafiq and Moroccan actress Hassna Momani. This edition of the festival will honor Moroccan actress Rawia, Egyptian actor Khaled El Sawy, Moroccan director Hicham El Jaziri, Egyptian actress Hala Sedky, as well as Tunisian director Ridha Behi.
