Al-Jubeir confirmed that the victory in selecting the Kingdom to host "Expo 2030" was a well-deserved and historic achievement, affirming the Kingdom's international stature, its distinguished relationships, and the trust of the international community in it. He added that the win came from efforts led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who continuously monitored all stages of work on a developing file that reflects the broad global perspective of our country, emphasizing that human beings and the environment are among its main focuses. Riyadh Expo 2030 aims to exceed the framework of carbon neutrality to become the world’s first completely carbon-free Expo.

Al-Jubeir stated that the success achieved conveys the message of Riyadh to the world, illustrating that we are essential partners in building the future and that our promising vision is a reality visible to everyone, demonstrating that the Saudi people, through their determination, knowledge, and work, create achievements, and based on that, the Kingdom is ready to impress the world.

He appreciated the support of countries for the Kingdom’s file during the candidacy and voting phases, confirming that the Kingdom's partnerships and relations are built on respect and trust, which was reflected in the voting outcome.

Al-Jubeir mentioned that the year 2030 would be a special year for the Kingdom, celebrating a different version of Expo and opening its doors to the world to witness a land of heritage, safety, and peace, as well as the progress and development the Kingdom is experiencing. He added that they are not just anticipating the future but are living its signs and seeing its light.

The Saudi Arabia file for organizing the 2030 Expo in the capital, Riyadh, won on Tuesday, with the Crown Prince describing the step as a "confirmation of the Kingdom's leading and pivotal role." During a meeting in Paris, the General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau concluded the competition in favor of Riyadh over the Italian capital Rome and the city of Busan in southeastern South Korea.
