Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, met today in Dhahran with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields, as well as discussed the cessation of war in the Gaza Strip.
They also examined the nearly finalized drafts of strategic agreements between the Kingdom and the United States, which are close to completion, in addition to ongoing efforts between the two sides regarding the Palestinian issue to establish a credible path towards a two-state solution that meets the aspirations and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA."
Additionally, the meeting addressed regional developments, including the situation in Gaza, the necessity of halting the war, and facilitating humanitarian aid access. The White House announced yesterday that Sullivan would visit Saudi Arabia to discuss the situation in Gaza and peace efforts. It was also indicated that the National Security Advisor would later travel to Israel to meet with senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to discuss the Gaza file, the humanitarian crisis in the region, the issue of displaced persons, and ongoing negotiations to secure the release of prisoners.
