French Man Injures Two Policemen in Serious Shooting Due to Dispute with Wife

At 10:30 PM GMT, two policemen were seriously injured due to gunfire that occurred on Thursday evening at a police station in Paris. A source familiar with the case stated that a man had seized one of the policemen's weapons and fired shots. It was noted that the attacker had just been arrested and took the weapon while the policemen were searching him. The source added that the policemen are in critical condition. Additionally, a correspondent for "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath" reported that the shooting incident appears to be related to a dispute between the assailant and his wife, whom he had previously attacked with a sharp object. After taking the policeman's weapon, he opened fire, injuring both officers before security personnel successfully apprehended him. It is worth mentioning that the police have announced an investigation into the incident. This comes as France raises its security alert level ahead of the Olympic Games set to begin next July.
