The Gathering of Retired Military Personnel confirmed its previous decision "to gather and protest tomorrow, closing the entrances to the Cabinet and preventing it from convening until further notice and until justice and equality are achieved." In a statement, it reiterated its demand for the government "not to procrastinate in addressing the issue of increases and to include it as the first item on the Cabinet's agenda after drafting the decrees for the increases in accordance with the legal opinion issued by the legal platform for defending the rights of retired military personnel in all its aspects, which dictates the following:
1. Calculation of a unified percentage of the actual salaries before 2019 for the entire public sector.
2. Cancellation of all increases, allowances, and funds granted to specific categories of public sector employees, ensuring that the increase is not less than providing a decent minimum living for lower categories and ranks.
3. Approval of a sustainable phased correction plan for salaries and wages in line with the development of state revenues, ensuring monetary stability.
4. Integration of part of the increase into the base salary to preserve the employee's right to a fair retirement compensation.
5. Establishment of a plan with retroactive effect to correct the value of pension compensations according to a fair exchange rate for the US dollar."
The gathering called on "retired military personnel and civilians, their families, the families of martyrs, and the families of active service military personnel to participate and mobilize in the movement around the Cabinet and in future participations."
