Gallant: I Briefed Blinken on the Updates of the Operation in Rafah

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant's office stated today, Monday, that he "informed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the Israeli military operation in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza, and the control of the border crossing with Egypt." The office mentioned in a statement that Gallant and Blinken discussed in a phone call during the night "the developments in Gaza... and the specific operation in the Rafah area against what remains of Hamas brigades, while simultaneously securing the crossing." The city of Rafah is home to about 1.4 million Palestinians, most of whom have been displaced from other areas of Gaza due to the fighting and Israeli bombardment, amid a severe shortage of food and water.
