Drone Strike Kills Hezbollah Leader

Hezbollah leader Hussein Maki was killed along with his companion when their vehicle was targeted by an Israeli drone south of the city of Tyre. Media sources indicated that Maki, a prominent field commander in the elite al-Ridwan forces of Hezbollah, was killed alongside his companion Baqir Hamoudi. Hezbollah later confirmed his death, stating that he was from Bayt Yahoun and born in 1969.

Reports indicated earlier that the vehicle was struck by three missiles, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to others. Previous reports mentioned that the strike targeted a very high-profile figure. A widely circulated image on social media showed Maki alongside an Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander who was killed in an Israeli strike targeting the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

According to information shared on social media, Maki participated in the war in Syria alongside the Syrian regime and was a prominent figure in Hezbollah and a close associate of Hassan Nasrallah. He was also close to Zaydi and was known as one of the main military coordinators between Hezbollah and Iran, being responsible for armament, logistics, and the supply line from Iran.
