Jordanian national team star Mousa Al-Tamari expressed his dream of lifting the AFC Cup after his team achieved the historic milestone of reaching the finals for the first time in their history by defeating South Korea 2-0 on Tuesday. Al-Tamari played a significant role in securing the result for "Al-Nashama," assisting the first goal, which was beautifully executed by his teammate Yazan Al-Naimat, before adding a stunning goal himself after a solo effort, earning him the title of Best Player of the Match.
In the press conference following the match, Al-Tamari said, "I was dreaming of this cup a month before it started. It means a lot to me. If we are destined to win it, that would be amazing." Al-Tamari, who became the first Jordanian player to join the French league with Montpellier, added, "Everyone will talk about my country in France."
Regarding the wonderful goal he scored, he noted, "It was not just an individual effort, but a collective one, as the midfield players did their job by winning the ball and passing it to me, and I completed their effort."
Al-Tamari expressed his hope for "all Jordanian national team players to be in European, Arab, and Gulf leagues" after their remarkable performance in this tournament. When asked about the secret to their victory over Korea, the Jordanian star attributed it to coach (Al-Hussein) Amootoo, who devised an ideal tactic for the match and urged them to play with high confidence. He also acknowledged the significant role of the fans, who supported them from the first minute to the last.
