The Chairman of the Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Al Sheikh, announced today, Monday, a reconciliation between the Egyptian star Amr Diab and his fellow countryman, composer Amr Mustafa, during the Saudi-Egyptian Nights event at the Opera House in Egypt. Al Sheikh wrote on his Facebook account: “My dear Al-Hadaba and my dear Amr Mustafa, reconciliation number 549, and may God complete it well.”
A video clip circulated on social media, showing Diab and Mustafa shaking hands in front of the audience, as they made sure to exchange conversation during the Saudi-Egyptian night event.
This reconciliation follows previous conflicts between Diab, known as "Al-Hadaba," and composer Amr Mustafa, according to the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Ahram."
In recent years, there have been several disagreements between Diab and Mustafa, the latest being about an advertisement presented by "Al-Hadaba" to promote a telecommunications company in 2017. At that time, Mustafa led a campaign on social media to attack Amr Diab, objecting to the release of a song he composed, titled "Yit’almo," at the start of the advertisement without consulting him and obtaining his approval.
