Members of the "Strong Republic" bloc have refused to discuss a proposed law referred by the government regarding the re-evaluation of assets, due to the inappropriateness of such referrals during a caretaker government. The bloc stated in a statement that "there is a law proposal submitted by MP Ni'mat Afram, which has not been referred to the committee, and it can be discussed since it was presented by a deputy." For his part, MP Ghassan Hasbani, a member of the "Strong Republic" bloc, confirmed after withdrawing from the parliamentary finance committee meeting the "importance of this subject, especially since it was included in the budget law project, and it was postponed until the end of the session and was not discussed before closing the budget session. We hope the law proposal submitted by the fellow MP will be expedited for discussion as soon as possible."
