French President Emmanuel Macron revealed that he wants to "finalize the alliance" of countries willing to send military trainers to Ukraine and confirmed that the process of training Ukrainian pilots will soon begin. During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Élysée Palace, Macron stated that "many of our partners have already given their approval" and "we will take advantage of the coming days to finalize the alliance." He pointed out that Ukrainians have "clearly expressed their needs for a simple reason" that they are in the process of "mobilizing very strongly" and will need to "train tens of thousands of soldiers," which is "more practical on Ukrainian territory." For his part, Zelensky urged the West to put in more effort to achieve a just peace in Ukraine, expressing confidence that "Kyiv will emerge victorious from this battle that is at a crossroads."
