Switzerland intends to arrest Israeli ministers and leaders of Hamas if they arrive in Switzerland, should the International Criminal Court (ICC) decide to issue arrest warrants against them. The Swiss Parliament stated: "Switzerland will fulfill its international obligations if the ICC issues arrest warrants against members of the Israeli government and Hamas leaders." The government pledged this commitment on Monday in response to several questions from parliamentarians. Earlier, the ICC's chief prosecutor Karim Khan announced that he has requested the issuance of arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his Defense Minister Yoav Galant, the head of Hamas' political bureau in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades Muhammad Diab Ibrahim (al-Daif), and Hamas political bureau head Ismail Haniyeh.
