Scandal Shakes Egypt: Officer Assaults and Blackmails Former Parliament Member

A former Egyptian parliament member revealed that she met an officer seven years ago, who was assigned to secure the Egyptian parliament building. While at a café in the building, he asked for her mobile phone number, which she provided, along with her work card, according to the website "Cairo 24."

She added that the officer contacted her while she was traveling abroad to check on her mother, who had fallen ill. During her time there, he reached out to ensure she was okay and helped her find a prominent doctor to assist with her mother's treatment. Upon her return to Egypt, she found him waiting for her at the airport, where he used his connections to ease her exit procedures.

The former parliament member stated that a friendship developed between them, and the officer discussed a joint investment project with her. On one occasion, he asked her to visit his sick mother in the Maadi area to get to know her, but when she arrived, she found he was the only one present.

She continued to explain that the officer locked her in his apartment and raped her, recorded the incident, and forced her to sign a promissory note for one million Egyptian pounds. After she returned home, she was shocked to receive threats from him concerning the photos and videos of their encounter, demanding three million pounds to establish his private project.

In response, the investigative authorities decided to refer the officer to the criminal court, charged with abducting the former member of parliament through deceit and raping her by force.
