Rising Tensions in Southern Lebanon: Exchange of Fire

Israeli shelling renewed in the evening targeting the areas around Ras al-Naqoura and al-Labouna, as well as the outskirts of the town of Tayr Harfa in the western sector. The Israeli army also targeted the outskirts of the town of Alama al-Shab, coinciding with reconnaissance aircraft flying overhead. The National News Agency reported that Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of the town of al-Dhahira.

Hezbollah announced in a statement that "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their resistance, the fighters of the Islamic resistance targeted the Malakiyeh site at 11:50 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, using appropriate weapons while the Israeli enemy was reinforcing its positions."

Tension prevails in the western sector of southern Lebanon, particularly along the front lines, starting from Naqoura on the coast, through neighboring villages adjacent to Palestinian territories in the western and central sectors, reaching the town of Yaroun. Israeli reconnaissance aircraft have not ceased flying in the skies.

Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of Tayr Harfa and targeted locations in Markaba and Hunin. A correspondent from Al-Manar reported: "Israeli artillery shelling hits the outskirts of Tayr Harfa and similar shelling targets the outskirts of Markaba and Rab Thalathin."

An Israeli drone targeted a vacant house on the outskirts of Blida and around the new football stadium in the western outskirts of Maiss al-Jabal. The Mahfaret area, outskirts of Adseason, and the Khallat Warda region at the borders of Aita al-Shaab were also subjected to hostile artillery fire.

Additionally, the areas of Ras al-Naqoura and al-Labouna faced intense artillery shelling today, along with regions such as Muhaybib, Blida, and the outskirts of Maiss al-Jabal. Israeli media reported that "two anti-tank missiles were launched from Lebanon at military sites in the Upper Galilee, and the army responded."

An Israeli military spokesperson stated that "positions of the army in Yiftah, Marjeyoun, Arab al-Aramisha, Shomera, and Matat were targeted by anti-tank missiles and mortar shells from Lebanon." The Israeli army claimed to have bombed several infrastructure sites belonging to "Hezbollah" in Lebanese territory.

On the other hand, the "Islamic Resistance" announced that it targeted an Israeli troop mobilization point near the Al-Marj site, causing direct casualties. They also released footage of the targeting of several Israeli military sites along the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
